IVY NAT

IVY NAT

Located on Brixton’s infamous Acre Lane, Ivy Nat is a charming little boutique. Stocked to the brim with the eponymous Ivy Nat health and beauty range – which boasts Jamaican black castor oil, organic shea butter and baobab oil to name a few, you’ll find some trusty favourites alongside products you’re perhaps yet to try.

What stands out here is not just the beauty products, but the way it’s merchandised with African artifacts you can also treat yourself to. Colouful woven baskets sit alongside ornaments; Ankara-print dresses are positioned near Ghanaian Kente cloth pieces, in a way that doesn’t clash, only compliments. “Ivy Nat is on a mission to change the way we discover and buy from independent designers,” founder Ogechi Enemuo reveals. “By championing and showcasing the best products made across the world all in one place.” Bookworms will appreciate that you can also find reads by renowned Black authors. Here’s one I couldn’t resist snapping up!

When Ogechi is asked what she finds the best part of running Ivy Nat? It’s as charming as the boutique itself. “It’s definitely meeting brand owners with such fantastic products, and the priceless reactions customer have from seeing those products and their experience in store.”

Some things are as simple as that. When you’re next in Brixton, be sure to discover this gem of a store. And if you’re yet to visit? You can always shop via the site.
